What is teeth whitening? This is the action of a chemical substance (hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide) on tooth tissue. The mechanism of action of teeth whitening is based on the use of the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (carbamide) into free radicals, which are irreversibly oxidized and react with pigment molecules (chromophores) inside the dentin, due to which the teeth become whiter.

Teeth whitening is office-based, which uses a higher concentration of the substance and a shorter effect on the teeth over time. And there is home-based - supported by weaker solutions with a longer effect over time.

The defects of the teeth that occur in these nosologies are small, not deep. Their treatment is often "postponed" until the process visually becomes larger, because during preparation by the usual method, more healthy hard tissues are removed than desired. Pulpitis - inflammation of the nerve in the tooth, periodontitis - inflammation of the periodontium of the tooth. Two different processes, the essence of the treatment is the same - to clear the coronal part from caries or old fillings, enter the root canals of the tooth, clean them (remove the diseased nerve, calibrate, expand, thoroughly rinse), hermetically seal the root canals and restore first with composite material, then with a laboratory crown.

This is endodontic treatment of the tooth. It is primary - for pulpitis, periodontitis, and secondary - when enclosing the canals of a previously treated tooth for certain reasons.

Depending on the condition of the tooth, treatment can be carried out in one visit or several.

Of course, such teeth are treated under local anesthesia, with proper isolation of the working field and the doctor's work under magnification (binoculars, microscope).

It is like a cap made in the shape of a tooth, put on a previously prepared tooth. The crown restores the anatomical shape and color of the tooth. It is made of a stronger material than a composite, so it can better withstand chewing pressure, friction and load. The tooth is first prepared according to certain rules for the thickness of the future crown, impressions of the jaws are taken, which are transferred to the laboratory, and there, based on these impressions, a crown is made for the tooth. Then the crown - the cap is tried on the tooth and fixed with special cement.
